National Sanitation Foundation
The National Sanitation Foundation (NSF) which is the governing body that approves Biological Safety Cabinets for manufacturers has implemented a program to accredit biological safety cabinet certifiers. This program is being supported by the National Institute of Health (NIH), the Federal Drug Administration (FDA), the Center for Disease Control (CDC), and all biosafety cabinet manufacturers.

Professional Certification of Clean Air Devices, Cleanrooms, and Biohazard Cabinetry
AGAPE Instruments Service, Inc. is a proud to be a long time member of Independent Certification Services, Inc. (ICS). ICS is a cooperative of independent testing companies established in 1986 to offer professional certification, testing, and repair services of laminar flow hoods, cleanrooms, isolation rooms and specialty equipment. ICS makes service and safety their top priorities.
Controlled Environment Testing Association
The Controlled Environment Testing Association (CETA) is devoted to promoting and developing quality assurance within the controlled environment testing industry. Together, professionals from throughout the industry have created a higher standard and a growing non-profit organization headquartered in Raleigh, NC.
CETA membership benefits anyone who works with controlled environments. This included certifiers, safety professionals, industrial hygienists, facility engineers and control personnel.
In addition, industry professionals working with equipment such as cleanrooms, laminar flow devices, fume hoods, biological safety cabinets, isolation rooms and other controlled environments, find a reliable source of information and new perspectives from fellow CETA members.
Institute of Environmental Sciences and Technology
Founded in 1953, IEST is an international not-for-profit technical society of engineers, scientists, and educators that serves its members and the industries they represent (simulating, testing, controlling, and teaching the environments of earth and space) through education and the development of recommended practices and standards.
IEST is an ANSI-accredited standards-developing organization; Secretariat of ISO/TC 209 Cleanrooms and associated controlled environments; Administrator of the ANSI-accredited US TAG to ISO/TC 209; Administrator of the ANSI-accredited US TAG to ISO/TC 142 Cleaning equipment for air and other gases; and a founding member of the ANSI-accredited US TAG to ISO/TC 229 Nanotechnologies. American Association for Laboratory Animal Science
The American Association for Laboratory Animal Science (AALAS), a 501(c)3 nonprofit membership association, is the premier forum for the exchange of information and expertise in the care and use of laboratory animals. Since 1950, we've been dedicated to the humane care and treatment of laboratory animals and the quality research that leads to scientific gains that benefit people and animals. American Biological Safety Association
The American Biological Safety Association (ABSA) was founded in 1984 to promote biosafety as a scientific discipline and serve the growing needs of biosafety professionals throughout the world. Its goals are to provide a professional association that represents the interests and needs of practitioners of biological safety, and to provide a forum for the continued and timely exchange of biosafety in formation.
